| 2009 Russian River Rodeo Association Color Guard |
The Russian River Rodeo will be on June 6th and 7th 2009. Both
days performance will start at 1pm. This is a CCPRA sanctioned event. This last year we were proud to have
local young cowboys and cowgirls riding steers at half time, as well as the Petaluma Junior Riders Drill Team and Diablo
Valley Ladies Drill Team. During the performance we will entertained by Martin Keith the clown who lives in Windsor,
who gets the whole crowd involved in the show.
We have a tasty BBQ each day and other mouth watering food
are available. Each morning there will be a delicious Cowboy Breakfast put on by the Russian River Rotary Club
starting at 7am until noon.
We hope that your youngsters check out our kids area, where they could jump
in a bounce house, and sit on a saddle. There will be local vendors offering great treasures, and you can try
your luck at the Sweethearts raffle. This will be a fun day for the whole family so we hope you come on out and watch
a great rodeo.
On Saturday we will host our second
annual horseshoe tournament inside the arena after the rodeo until 8pm. Sign ups are taken at the rodeo for $20 per
team. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places are given. There will also be a kids
washer tournament during the horseshoe tournament. Sign up are taken during the rodeo for $10 per team. Prizes
will be given
